KILL THE HERO

This is an entry to November National Game Design Month 2023! It needs a few more coats of varnish, but I'm definitely going to come back to it in the future.

You know how the story goes. A hero warps into a world of fantasy, magic, and wonder. The demon king threatens the world. The hero goes on a quest. He makes friends, grows stronger, and saves the world. He becomes a better person for it. 

Then what? 

What happens when the hero can't go home? The goddess said she'd send the hero back. She betrayed them. The world's fake - it's out of that video game the hero used to play before he died, right? Then nothing matters. It never did. Why shouldn't the hero simply take what he wants? 

In Kill the Hero, you play the hero's old adventuring party. The Hero's gone mad. You have to kill the Hero. Before he destroys everything you hold dear.
